Start your Arma 3 server

One Arma 3 dedicated server allows you to host multiplayer military, co-op or life RP missions for your community. This guide explains how to start from the Anthony IT Solutions panel, UDP ports, address recovery and first checks before hosting your players.

Arma 3 uses Steam Query and BattlEye for anti-heat. The server must have a valid Steam license (included in the offer).

Prerequisite

  • Offer hosting Arma 3 active
  • Mission(s) in the file mpmissions
  • Possible prepared mods, Steam Workshop

Starting from the panel

  1. Open your Arma 3 server in the client space
  2. Check the default mission in configuration (file name) .pbo without extension)
  3. Click Start
  4. Wait for the status online, the first boot can take several minutes (download mods)
  5. Note IP and port (often 2302 UDP for game, +2 for Steam query)

Player Connection

In Arma 3: Multiplayer → Remote server → address IP:2302. If mods are required, they must match exactly the server list (same Workshop keys).

Key configuration files

  • server.cfg, hostname, motd, slots, password admin
  • basic.cfg, bandwidth limits, logs
  • mpmissions/, multiplayer missions

Deepen: missions & rotation, BattlEye.

Supervision

  • Live Console: missing mission or mod errors
  • RAM and CPU via panel, Arma 3 IA heavy consumes a lot
  • Restart after major modlist change

Troubleshooting

  • Invisible server, Query port, Steam offline
  • Mod mismatch, different workshop versions client/server
  • Crash on mission load, incompatible mission script or absent mod
